September 8 – November 24, 2025
Settle Your Body.
Reclaim Your Rhythm.
In the wake of trauma or prolonged stress, the nervous system can stay locked in survival states — hypervigilance, collapse, disconnection. The Grounding & Regulating Class is a somatic-based, trauma-informed series designed to gently support your body’s return to safety, connection, and presence.
Rooted in polyvagal theory and body-based psychology, these weekly classes provide practical, accessible tools to:
Reconnect to your body with compassion
Support nervous system regulation
Create a sense of safety and containment from within
Deepen your capacity for rest, stability, and presence
This series is not therapy — but it is intentionally structured to support those healing from complex trauma, anxiety, and dysregulation in a safe, embodied way.

FAQs
What is somatic practice?
Somatic practice focuses on body awareness as a pathway to healing. Unlike cognitive approaches, it involves tracking physical sensation, breath, and movement to reconnect to the present moment, release stored tension, and foster internal safety.
What does trauma-informed mean?
This class is grounded in nervous system education, consent, and pacing. You’ll never be asked to push beyond your comfort zone. Each practice is invitational, with options for modifying or pausing at any time. The goal is to help you build trust with your body — at your own rhythm.
Is this therapy?
This class is not a substitute for individual therapy. However, it is designed with a trauma-sensitive approach and may complement your therapeutic work by giving you practical tools to regulate your body and emotions in daily life.
Will we talk about our trauma?
No. This is not a processing group. While the practices are informed by trauma healing principles, there is no expectation to share personal stories or experiences aloud.
How is this different from a yoga class?
While we may use some yoga-inspired movement, this class is not about poses or flexibility. It’s about how you feel, not how you look. You’ll be guided to explore your inner experience, regulate your nervous system, and respond to your body’s cues — without striving or performance.
Ready to get grounded?
Whether you're moving through anxiety, burnout, or trauma recovery, this class offers a gentle, guided space to come back to yourself — one breath, one week at a time. Join the whole series or drop in to one class — come as you are, no experience needed.
