Trauma Therapy That Honors Your Whole Self
Maybe you’ve learned how to survive — to keep going, to hold it all together — but inside, you feel exhausted, disconnected, or overwhelmed. You might feel like you're too much… or not enough. Like you’re stuck in patterns you can’t explain. Like you're always waiting for the other shoe to drop. If this sounds familiar, you’re not broken — you’re carrying the imprint of trauma. And healing is possible. You don’t have to keep surviving. You deserve to feel safe in your body, secure in your relationships, and connected to your inner self.
“The moment in between what you once were, and who you are now becoming, is where the dance of life really takes place.”
― Barbara De Angelis
You might benefit from trauma therapy if you…
Live with chronic anxiety, emotional numbness, or a constant sense of being on alert
Tend to prioritize others' needs at the expense of your own, and find it difficult to set or maintain boundaries
Carry unresolved wounds from early attachment disruptions, childhood trauma, or past relational harm
Experience dissociation, panic responses, or intrusive memories and flashbacks
Feel disconnected from your body, emotions, or sense of self, and long to feel more grounded and whole
An integrative approach to trauma therapy
With over ten years of experience in somatics, starting as a yoga teacher, and almost 8 years as a licensed clinical professional counselor, I use an integrative somatic approach to trauma therapy that honors every part of your story — not just your thoughts, but your body, your emotions, and your inner world. I draw from:

When we’ve lived through ongoing stress or trauma, our bodies often stay in survival mode — even long after the danger has passed. You might feel on edge, shut down, disconnected from your body, or like you’re always waiting for something bad to happen. Somatic Experiencing (SE) is a gentle, body-based approach that helps you slowly unwind patterns — not by reliving the trauma, but by listening to what your body has been holding all along. This work invites you to:
Notice small sensations of safety and support
Gently release stuck tension, fear, or freeze responses
Begin to trust your body again — maybe for the first time
Feel more grounded, alive, and present in the here and now

When you’ve been through ongoing trauma — especially in childhood — it’s common to feel like different parts of you are pulling in opposite directions. Maybe one part wants connection, while another shuts down or pushes people away. Maybe a younger part feels terrified or ashamed, while another part works hard to keep everything under control.
Maybe there’s an inner voice that criticizes you constantly — and you don’t know why it won’t stop. Parts Work helps you gently explore and befriend these inner parts — not to get rid of them, but to understand why they’re here, what they’ve been protecting, and what they really need. In this work, we:Create space to listen to the parts of you that are hurting, protecting, or holding memories
Build compassionate relationships with parts that have been misunderstood or pushed away
Help younger or wounded parts feel seen, heard, and cared for — often for the first time
Reconnect you with your inner sense of Self — the calm, curious, wise part of you that can lead with compassion

Trauma doesn't just come from what happened — it can also come from who wasn't there when you needed them most. If you grew up feeling unseen, unsafe, or like love had to be earned, those early wounds can shape how you see yourself, how you relate to others, and what you believe you're worthy of. Attachment-Focused EMDR is a gentle, powerful way to reprocess painful memories, negative self-beliefs, and relationship patterns that formed in response to early attachment wounds. Unlike traditional EMDR, this approach is rooted in attunement, emotional safety, and the healing power of relationship. Together, we’ll:
Identify and soften the old stories that say “I’m not enough,” “I’m too much,” or “I can’t trust anyone”
Work at a pace that honors your nervous system and your capacity
Revisit painful memories without getting overwhelmed or re-traumatized
Strengthen new, more compassionate beliefs about yourself and your worth
Repair attachment wounds in the context of a safe, trusting therapeutic relationship

Let’s get started!
Step 1: Consultation
I offer a free 15 minute consultation where you can discuss what you would like to work on and what you’re looking for in a therapist. I share about myself, my approach and how we might proceed. If it feels like a good fit for you, we discuss logistics like insurance, scheduling, directions, and more.
Step 2: Building Connection
It’s important to me that you feel a sense of connection with me as your therapist. It’s an embodied awareness that I see you, hear you, and understand you. It can take a few sessions for you to tell your story, build trust, and for us to make a plan on what to focus on and how to work together.
Step 3: Embodied Change
I believe your body knows how to heal and adapt. No matter what we decide to focus on, I make it a point to reflect back to you what’s working so that you can watch yourself become more whole and centered in who you know yourself to be. I offer skills, tools, guidance and warmth but you are always in the driver’s seat.
